• Establish open lines of communication between deputies, staff, and county leadership to ensure concerns are heard and addressed.
• Implement regular performance reviews and assessments to identify areas of improvement and recognize outstanding service.
• Enhance community outreach efforts, ensuring the public understands the role of the Sheriff’s Office and has a voice in public safety matters.

A strong Sheriff’s Office starts with highly trained, motivated, and dedicated deputies. To recruit and retain the best, Josh will:

• Advocate for competitive salaries and benefits to attract top-tier law enforcement professionals.
• Ensure proper staffing levels so deputies are not overburdened and can effectively serve the community.
•  Develop a career advancement program to reward dedication and encourage long-term service.

Training is essential to ensure officers are prepared to handle modern law enforcement challenges. Josh will:

• Expand training programs in de-escalation, emergency response, and community policing.
• Seek state and federal grants to fund training initiatives without increasing the financial burden on taxpayers.
• Partner with local law enforcement academies and training organizations to provide cost-effective skill development for deputies.
